The four airports from Southampton

Heathrow sits roughly 80 miles north-east of Southampton and is the dominant cruise-to-flight airport. Drive time is around 1h 30m in clear conditions, more during morning peak. Gatwick is further east — 80 miles via the A27/M23, typically 1h 45m–2h. Bournemouth Airport is the closest, around 45 minutes west via the M27 and A338. London Luton is doable for late-evening flights but rarely the most efficient routing, most passengers in that situation are better suited by an overnight hotel near the airport.
